Recently, a friend asked what I was up to these days. I replied that I was struggling to juggle the conflicting priorities of full-time child rearing, running a home business, writing, and self-teaching myself everything I'd never been told about homemaking. It keeps a person busy, doing so many things! Most days I feel like I'm busier than when I was working outside the home and studying on the side!
I was never taught how to properly care for a home. Most kids, male or female, aren't I guess. There are certainly plenty of other things to teach children! Still, my adult life has suffered for lack of that knowledge.
I have decided to devote myself to learning how to do this right. I will learn the skills and tricks needed to keep our home presentable while still being live-in-able. I'm new to this, and really practically starting from scratch, so wish me luck!
