In May of 2010, I had every intention of having my baby and rushing back to Full-Time office work within a matter of weeks. My husband, Blair, was making arrangements to telecommute so he could continue to do his job as bookkeeper and stay home with our new infant. However, one twist of fate after another resulted in him taking on more hours at work, and me coming home to full-time to take care of our beautiful baby boy.
Now it's LittleJohn and me at home every day, learning and growing together. No one ever told me being a mom was going to be this much fun!
Of course, it can't all be giggles and naps. At least not for me. There's a house to keep, too! And two older boys and a husband to feed. And writing to be done, and some form of home business to be built because whoever is at home still needs to bring in an income!
So I'm juggling the conflicting priorities of caring for a baby, running a home business, writing a novel, and teaching myself everything I was never taught about homemaking but still desperately need to know. It keeps me busy. This blog is meant to be a chronicle of my mommyblogging adventures, and, hopefully, of how we will make our home business successful enough to bring him home from the rat-race, too!
